How customers opt in to visit texts

Last updated October 17, 2026

Fairtide Capital and its operating service companies (currently Elevator Needz) send one text when a technician is on the way to a scheduled service visit. We only text customers who have agreed to it.

How consent is collected

  • Verbally at booking. When a visit is scheduled, the dispatcher asks the customer and records the answer in our system.
  • In writing on service agreements. Service agreements include a written consent line the customer can accept.

Consent is not required to purchase service.

Dispatcher script

Dispatcher: “We can text you when your technician is on the way to a scheduled visit — usually one text per visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out anytime. Our terms are at legal.fairtide.capital/sms-terms and our privacy policy at legal.fairtide.capital/privacy. Would you like these texts — yes or no?”

Customer: “Yes.”

Dispatcher: “Great — we've noted that, and you'll get a text now confirming you're signed up.”

If the customer says no, the dispatcher records that and no texts are sent.

What we record
